Streaky Bay is one of those classic remote Aussie coastal towns that makes you want to park the van and stay a while. Perched on the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia, it’s famous for its crystal-clear waters, raw coastline, and laid-back small-town vibes.

The area’s also known for its iconic great white sharks, with some of the biggest whites ever recorded here, making you think twice before going out for a swim or surf. You can wander the Jetty Walk, visit the sea lion colony at Point Labatt, or take a scenic drive out to Murphy’s Haystacks and the Whistling Rocks & Blowholes. The town itself has everything you need, with a top-notch bakery, a pub with ocean views, and plenty of beachfront camping spots for van lifers. Whether you’re here to fish, surf, or just kick back with a cold one watching the sunset, Streaky Bay’s got the goods.
