Point Drummond is a quiet coastal spot on the west coast of the Eyre Peninsula, about a couple of hours north of Port Lincoln. It’s known for its rugged cliffs, long sandy beaches, and turquoise waters, it's a proper off the beaten track spot. The area is popular with anglers chasing salmon, whiting, and squid, and the beaches are good for a peaceful swim if the surf isn’t too wild. There’s a small camping area nearby with basic facilities, but it’s mostly a bush-style, self-sufficient stop, perfect for van lifers or travellers after some solitude and epic ocean views. Keep an eye out for dolphins or sea birds along the cliffs while you’re there.
