Gibson Steps is one of our favourite sunset spots on the Great Ocean Road!

It is only 1km away from the iconic 12 apostles, however it is much less crowded!

You will descend 86 steep steps carved into the 70m cliffs to stroll the sandy beach, marvel at Gog and Magog (two giant stacks), and feel the raw power of the surf.

This gem gives you direct beach access to a wild, wind-whipped stretch of coastline, where towering limestone cliffs and sea stacks loom over crashing Southern Ocean waves.

We do not recommend swimming here as the ocean is very powerful & has strong currents.
