Shell Beach is a surreal shoreline in the Shark Bay World Heritage Area that’s not sand at all, but made up of billions of tiny white shells.

The shells stretch for tens of kilometres with deposits up to 7-10 metres deep in some places.

The result is a walking surface that crunches underfoot, stunning white-shell vistas, and water so salty you float easily.
