It is one of the best I have ever had in Mallorca. The ice creams at Gelateria Colonial are huge and the quality is definitely good. The only real drawback is the prices, which are not cheap.

Hostal Doris is the perfect home away from home, which says it all. With a family atmosphere and personalized service from the owners, we had a great time. It is very conveniently located for getting from one part of the island to another (if you have a car). Parking is easily found and the location is ideal for families, a lively and bustling place.

🇮🇹 L'Hostal Doris è la casa perfetta lontano da casa, il che dice tutto. Con un'atmosfera familiare e un servizio personalizzato da parte dei proprietari, ci siamo trovati benissimo. Si trova in una posizione molto comoda per spostarsi da una parte all'altra dell'isola (se si ha la macchina). Si trova facilmente parcheggio e la località è ideale per famiglie, un posto vivace ed animato.

The historic center, full of buildings, can be easily walked around and getting lost in the streets is definitely a nice way to spend a day. I must admit that Palma de Mallorca was a pleasant surprise! I had no idea how beautiful and quaint it was, so I highly recommend that you dedicate at least one day to visit it. Okay, I know I'm a sucker for the style of Spanish burgs. The buildings have an Art Nouveau style, but at the same time they are mixed with Gothic architecture. Nightlife happens at the pasèo maritimo and in the Santa Catalina neighborhood.

🇮🇹 Il centro storico, ricco di edifici, si può tranquillamente girare a piedi e perdersi tra le vie è sicuramente un bel modo per passare una giornata. Devo amettere che Palma di Maiorca è stata una piacevole sorpresa! Non avevo idea di quanto fosse bella e caratteristica, quindi ti consiglio vivamente di dedicare almeno un giorno a visitarla. Okay, so di avere un debole per lo stile dei borghetti spagnoli. Gli edifici hanno uno stile liberty, ma allo stesso tempo si mischiano con l'architettura gotica. La vita notturna avviene al pasèo maritimo e nel quartiere di Santa Catalina.

We are talking about one of the most picturesque, typical and visited pueblos in Mallorca, namely Fornalutx which is located in the Valley of Sóller, right in the middle of the Sierra de Tramuntana. I explored the pueblo just before sunset, so the restaurants were just getting ready and the evening energy was starting to vibrate. I walked through its picturesque stone houses, narrow winding streets and beautiful mountain views. There are many plants that residents grow in the alleys, which adds a special vibrancy as I walked. Think, with only 700 inhabitants, Fornalutx has been named twice "the most beautiful village in Spain". The houses are the perfect example of typical Majorcan mountain houses. The old town is linked to the life of the village and the cultivation of citrus groves (especially orange) and olive groves. Small curiosity: the pueblo has made many artists and famous people from all over Europe fall in love, some of whom have settled there permanently.

🇮🇹 Stiamo parlando di uno dei più pittoreschi, tipici e visitati pueblos di Maiorca, ovvero Fornalutx che si trova nella Valle di Sóller, proprio al centro della Sierra de Tramuntana. Ho esplorato il pueblo poco prima del tramonto, quindi i ristoranti stavano appena allestendo e l'energia della sera stava iniziando a vibrare. Ho passeggiato tra le sue pittoresche case in pietra, le strette strade tortuose e le splendide viste sulle montagne. Ci sono molte piante che i residenti coltivano nei vicoli, il che aggiunge una vivacità speciale mentre camminavo. Pensa, con soli 700 abitanti, Fornalutx è stato nominato due volte “villaggio più bello della Spagna”. Le case sono l’esempio perfetto delle tipiche case di montagna maiorchine. Il centro storico è legato alla vita di paese ed alla coltivazione di agrumeti (in particolare aranci) ed uliveti. Piccola curiosità: il pueblo ha fatto innamorare molti artisti e personaggi famosi provenienti da tutta Europa, alcuni dei quali vi si sono stabiliti definitivamente.

In the square there are several bars and restaurants with their terraces where you can enjoy an aperitif or a meal (like Cafè sa Plaça where prices are quite high). Plaça Espanya in my opinion is a highly recommended place to stop off on the way and relax. I watched the children playing ball, beautiful scene.

🇮🇹 Nella piazza ci sono diversi bar e ristoranti con le loro terrazze dove potrai gustare un aperitivo o un pasto (come Cafè sa Plaça dove i prezzi sono abbastanza alti). Plaça Espanya a mio avviso è un posto altamente raccomandato per fare una sosta lungo la strada e rilassarsi. Ho osservato i bambini che giocavano a pallone, bellissima scena.

It is a restaurant known for its delicious Mediterranean and Majorcan cuisine. The atmosphere is really amazing with a view of the harbor and a music playlist that gives you the feeling of being on vacation! I tasted typical dishes, all delicious and of good quality. The prices are average.

🇮🇹 E' un ristorante noto per la sua deliziosa cucina mediterranea e maiorchina. L'atmosfera è davvero incredibile con una vista sul porto e una playlist musicale che ti dà la sensazione di essere in vacanza! Ho assaggiato tutti deliziosi e di buona qualità. I prezzi sono nella media.

It's the perfect place for a relaxing getaway with a touch of Mediterranean charm. That's why I suggest you get to Porto de Soller at the end of the day where you will see a beautiful harbor with a wide moon-shaped beach and palm trees. Watching the sunset from here is something incredibly beautiful.

🇮🇹 È il luogo perfetto per una fuga rilassante con un tocco di fascino mediterraneo. Ecco perché ti suggerisco di raggiungere il Porto de Soller a fine giornata dove vedrai un bellissimo porto con un’ampia spiaggia a forma di luna e palme. Ammirare il tramonto da quì è qualcosa di incredibilmente bello.
