How much does Jordan cost 🇮🇹 Quanto costa la Giordania

I start immediately by telling you that the Jordanian currency is the dinar and unfortunately it is not possible to buy the dinar in Italy. - A dinar costs about 1.25 Euro.

Jordan is expensive? Personally I consider Jordan a country halfway between super-cheap (e.g. Albania, Poland or, if we want to make a comparison with the other Arab destinations, Morocco), and super-expensive (e.g. Scandinavian countries or Israel).  

• Wadi Rum excursion (1 day 1 night): we took a full package which included not only the overnight stay in the tent, but also the jeep tour, sunset tour, dinner and Bedouin breakfast. The total cost for two was JOD 90 (€120).

• There is also the possibility of taking the luxury tent, which on average costs 90 € per person .  Hotels are slightly cheaper than Italy (but the quality is worse).

• Transportation: if you want the most convenient (but also more expensive) solution there is car rental, about 20 Euro per day. Taxis are very cheap.

• Meals and drinks: the street food costs very little, between 1 and 2jd per person (2 jd in tourist areas like Petra). If instead you decide to eat in a restaurant, you will spend between 15 and 25 days a week in 2 (35€) . 

• Jordan Pass: we bought it online before leaving and took the JP Explorer which includes 2 entrances to Petra. It has a cost of 75 JD (100€ per person). 

Please note that all accept credit cards. Hotels, restaurants except those spartan and shops.

Another thing I would advise you to always negotiate the price: it is part of the local culture. Well, people will always try to exaggerate the prices, but I assure you that by negotiating you will be able to save money and pay the real price for the things you want to buy, especially for souvenirs and restaurants.

🇮🇹 Parto subito col dirti che la valuta giordana è il dinaro e purtroppo acquistare il dinaro in Italia non è possibile. - Un dinaro costa circa 1,25 Euro.

La Giordania è costosa? Personalmente reputo la Giordania un paese a metà tra i super economici (es. Albania , Polonia oppure, volendo fare un confronto con le altre destinazioni arabe, il Marocco), e i super cari (es. Paesi Scandinavi o Israele).  

• Escursione nel Wadi Rum (1 giorno 1 notte) : noi abbiamo preso un pacchetto completo che includesse non solo il pernottamento in tenda, ma anche il tour in jeep, il giro al tramonto, cena e colazione beduina. Il costo totale  per due è stato di 90 JOD (120€).
  C’è anche la possibilità di prendere la tenda luxury, che mediamente ha un costo di 90€ a persona . Gli hotel costano leggermente meno dell'Italia (ma la qualità è peggiore).

• Trasporti: se vuoi la soluzione più comoda (ma anche più costosa) c’è il noleggio auto, circa 20 Euro al giorno. I taxi sono molto economici.

• Pasti e bevande:  lo street food costa molto poco, tra gli 1 e i 2jd a persona (2 jd nelle zone turistiche tipo Petra). Se invece decidi di mangiare al ristorante, spenderai tra i 15 e i 25 jd  in 2 (35€) . 

• Jordan Pass: lo abbiamo acquistato online prima di partire e abbiamo preso il JP Explorer che include 2 ingressi a Petra. Ha un costo di 75 JD (100€ a testa). 

Tieni presente che tutti accettano carte di credito. Alberghi, ristoranti tranne quelli spartani e negozi.

Un’altra cosa che mi sento di consigliarti è di contrattare sempre il prezzo: è parte della cultura locale. Ebbene si le persone tenteranno sempre di esagerare con i prezzi, ma ti assicuro che contrattando riuscirai a risparmiare soldi e pagare il vero prezzo per le cose che vuoi comprare, soprattutto per i souvenir e ristoranti.
