When to go, weather and time zone 🇮🇹 Quando andare, clima e fuso orario

Jordan’s climate is generally warm but:

• If Amman, the capital, is about 1000 meters above sea level, the heat will be bearable. In fact, in the evening you will need a sweatshirt. Let’s talk clearly about the summer. 

• If in Wadi Rum, to the south, the heat is greater (we are in the desert), at night you should cover yourself well.

• In Aqaba, on the Red Sea, the heat is tempered by a sea breeze, and it’s nice.

• Then there is the Dead Sea: the feeling is that of going down to hell. 

In any case, know that there are thermal changes throughout the year, but if you want to enjoy a higher temperature during the day, I recommend you go to Jordan in the spring or autumn. Not recommended in summer.

Jordan belongs to the UTC/GMT +2 time zone, so it is 2 hours ahead of Italy when our solar time. In summer time, the difference is reduced to one hour. 

🇮🇹 Il clima in Giordania è generalmente caldo ma:

• Se Amman, la capitale, è a circa 1000 metri sul livello del mare, il caldo sarà sopportabile. Anzi, alla sera vi servirà una felpa. Parliamo chiaramente dell’estate. 

• Se nel Wadi Rum, a sud, il caldo è maggiore (siamo nel deserto), la notte copritevi bene.

• Ad Aqaba, sul Mar Rosso, il caldo è temperato dalla brezza marina, e si sta bene.

• Poi c’è il Mar Morto: la sensazione è quella di scendere all’inferno. 

In ogni caso sappi che gli sbalzi termici tuttavia ci sono durante tutto l’anno, ma se vuoi godere di una temperatura più alta durante il giorno, ti consiglio di andare in Giordania nel periodo primaverile o autunnale. D’estate sconsigliatissima.

La Giordania appartiene al fuso orario UTC/GMT +2, quindi è 2 ore avanti rispetto all’Italia quando c’è la nostra ora solare. Quando invece c’è l’ora legale, la differenza si riduce a un’ora.
