Beautifully made wooden pillars (of which 218) support the interior of the mosque and give it a unique appearance: they look almost like a forest. The only natural light inside shines on the gardens, making it a quiet place of peace and tranquility. These columns have seen a lot of history. The JUMA MOSQUE (ALSO CALLED FRIDAY MOSQUE) is dark, bare and difficult to photograph. Yet, we have grasped the value! Although the mosque is now inactive, it is said that it once could accommodate 500 people.
