Many people don't know how to spot the Northern Lights, even though it sounds pretty self evident.

When I worked in a guesthouse in the north, we had a northern lights wake up list. I would wake people up if I would spot the northern lights. I loved this, because it is amazing to make people aware of how to spot the lights and what to pay attention to. I am convinced many people would not have been able to see the signs of northern lights starting or would have missed them completely if we at the guesthouse would not have made people aware of them

This is exactly what they do at Aurora Basecamp too. They tell you what to look for and how to spot them So if you're goal is to the see the northern lights on your trip to Iceland, this is a good place to start.

And if you know me a little, you know I love domes, and this basecamp is situated in a dome :)
