Update August 2023: the water was a nice temperature, but the stream was very strong. So don't get too close to the edge.

One of the best kept secrets of the north. This hot pot is at the top of a waterfall.

The water is not as warm as it used to be, so I would not recommend going here on a cold or windy day. But when it is a bit warmer, this is the perfect place to enjoy the view over Akureyri.

You have to take the exit to Hallandsnes. There's a small parking spot right next to the river. From there you can walk down towards the sea and the hot tub is right above the waterfall.

There's no changing area or anything, so you'll have to change out in the open or in your car.
