This beautiful black sand beach is not only gorgeous, it is also deadly. So pleeeaaase read the signs before going onto this beach and know what the dangers are.

Having said that, it is a beautiful location to visit. There's basalt columns, there's a cave, you might spot some puffins flying over.

But also remember there are literally black sand beaches all over Iceland. This is just the most well known one. But it is almost impossible to find any other color beach in Iceland, so if the weather is bad in this area, just drive to another beach and touch the black sand there.

(This is not my favorite place if you haven't noticed yet, the sight of people getting close to the dangerous waves really freaks me out).
