At Geysir Hestar they offer several tours in the area. They split groups up in different riding levels, so make sure you explain your level of riding.

If you're experienced and like some fast gallop parts, this is the place for you. The horses for experienced people are nice and forward, so if you like a bit more power, this is the place for you.

Going for a ride in the Icelandic countryside is always a lot of fun. So try to squeeze in a riding tour if you can! Just remember that Icelandic horses are smaller than regular horses. They are strong, but their weight limit is usually about 100 kg / 220 lbs.
