This is the location of the biggest horse round up in Iceland. After spending the whole summer in the mountains, hundreds of horses are herded together again. They are brought down from the mountains into the corral where they are divided into the different parts of the corral owned by different farms.

This horse round up is on September 30th 2023.

It's a big cultural happening. There are many people watching, some are dividing the horses, there are choirs singing, it's a great thing to experience.
