In Hof, the cultural center of Akureyri, you will find the tourist information office and a cute design shop. If you don't want to buy your souvenirs at yet another "puffin shop" I can highly recommend having a look around in this concept store.

They have many things from Icelandic designers / artists and the items are often one of a kind.
