This is a cool historic spot located in Yarra Ranges National Park, is a big old granite and bluestone arch. The Big Culvert was built back in 1870 and helped water flow under the road when it got all flooded.

How to get there:

About a 20 minute drive from Marysville and you can find a small roadside carpark along Marysville-Woods Point Road and within minutes you will reach the opening of the tunnel after a very short walk (look for the green "The Big Culvert" sign from the road).

Elise's Tips:

I’d highly recommend wearing gumboots as it can get quite muddy if you want to go for a wander inside, so definitely leave the white sneakers at home. I've even seen snow here so if you're ever visit the snow at Lake Mountain in winter and conditions are right, detour on the way home to see if the snow has made it here!
