Nimons Bridge is Victoria’s third tallest surviving trestle bridge, rising 19.2 metres above the Woady Yaloak River below. You can walk or ride across it as today it is a major attraction of the Ballarat-Skipton Rail Trail - for those looking for a closer look, follow the dirt track alongside (you really do feel quite small standing at the base)!
The perfect side trip if you’re staying in Ballarat and only a short stroll from the car park for non riders like me - I’ve heard on the right day it’s a pretty good sunset location too!
