The Ballarat Tramway Museum is a cool spot where you can check out Australia's oldest working tramway, an interactive museum and even ride on trams over 100 years old around Lake Wendouree.

They're open weekends, Tuesdays, and public holidays with entry to the museum and a tram ride $15 for adults, $7 Concession $13, Family $40 (check website to double check prices). Tram rides start and finish from the Museum in the Ballarat Botanic Gardens.
