It's not every day you get to see a tree that's over 350 years old, 73 metres in height with a circumference 16 meters! The Kalatha Giant Tree Walk follows an easy trail with interpretive signs to read about the history and ecology of the area along the way. The short 500 trail loops around the tree with occasional step, boardwalk and some gentle hills. The Kalatha Giant Tree walk starts at the end of Kalatha Road and as you turn onto Granton Road there is a small car park on your right opposite the trailhead.
