Lake Weeroona is a man-made lake located in Bendigo, commissioned in 1878 and covers 18 hectares of land. Originally a mine, it was transformed into a picturesque spot with amenities like the Bendigo Rowing Club, The Boardwalk Restaurant, a playground, toilets, and barbecues for public use. It looks particularly beautiful in autumn as the leaves frame the lake in the background... a great spot for a picnic if you ask me!
