This waterfall is one of three waterfalls in Lal Lal Falls Reserve. The waterfall spills over basalt rock into a pool below and is best viewed from the wooden platform. The 5.6km return trail is gently undulating with a couple of steep inclines, winding its way through a mowed grass path with views of wind turbines and Lal Lal Reservoir along the way.

How to get there:

Access the walk to Moorabool Falls from the car park on Harris Road. There are no facilities here but there are toilets, picnic tables, gas BBQs and shelters at the nearby car park off Lal Lal Falls Road. It's a 1.5 hour drive from Melbourne and a 25 minute drive from Buninyong.

Elise's Tips:

This place was perfect for a solo hike/day trip. You can set up a tripod at the viewing platform and take photos in front of the falls (pictured here).
