9 great spots to see Sankt Hans bonfire in Copenhagen

Every year on June 23rd, bonfires light up all across Denmark to celebrate Sankt Hans (Midsummer's Eve).

Originally linked to Saint John the Baptist, the tradition also stems from old folklore, where bonfires were believed to keep witches and evil spirits away.

Alongside the bonfires, you'll find live music, speeches, community sing-alongs, and the traditional Midsommervise. It's one of the most beautiful summer traditions in Denmark.

Here are some of my favourite spots to experience Sankt Hans in Copenhagen:

Nyhavn
