Japanese insight

A sophisticated yet welcoming Spanish restaurant that has earned international acclaim for its authentic paella. It is a favorite for those who want to experience world-class Spanish cuisine in the heart of Tokyo.

  • World-Class Paella Honors El Chateo is famous for its incredible track record in international competitions. Most notably, they won First Place in the International Category at the 44th Fideuà International Contest in Gandia, Spain (the birthplace of pasta paella). They were the first Japanese team to achieve this honor. They have also received the Special Jury Award at the World Paella Championship in Sueca, Valencia.

  • The Signature: Fideuà de Gandia You must try their award-winning Fideuà, which is a unique style of paella made with short pasta instead of rice. It is slow-cooked until the pasta has fully absorbed the rich, concentrated essence of the seafood broth. Of course, their traditional rice-based Seafood Paella (a winner of the Tokyo Paella Competition) is also a masterpiece.

  • Business Hours The restaurant offers both a lively lunch service and a relaxed dinner atmosphere.

    • Mon–Fri: 11:30 AM – 3:00 PM (Lunch) / 5:00 PM – 11:00 PM (Dinner)

    • Sat: 11:30 AM – 11:00 PM (Open all day)

    • Sun & Holidays: 11:30 AM – 10:00 PM (Open all day)

    • Closed: Generally open year-round (except New Year's)
