Koutoubia Mosque is the largest mosque in Marrakech and is considered a major landmark in the city. Built in the 12th century, it's known for its impressive architecture and design. Non-Muslims are not permitted to enter the mosque, but you are more than welcome to go up close to the building and explore the surrounding gardens, which are full of chirping birds and orange trees. Additionally, you can enjoy great views of Koutoubia from many nearby cafes and restaurants in the main square Jemaa el-Fnaa.
