One of the two entries to Seiryō-ji Temple, represented by impressive temple gates with two guardian statues called Nio (仁王) - wrathful guardian deities often found in other Buddhist temples as well. They are commonly placed at the entrance gates of Buddhist temple complexes, and they are believed to protect the temple from evil spirits.
