Hotel Akureyri Skjaldborg is one of Akureyri’s most dignified buildings. Built in 1924 by Akureyri’s Good-templars. A social group devoted to sobriety. The building was later transformed into a printing factory and was responsible for printing and publishing some of Iceland’s most important literature.
