Can not thank Gunnar and his team enough! They helped us plan the most amazing 8 day trip in April. Every single spot on our itinerary was epic. We were able to fit in so many spots without ever feeling stressed or rushed. Gunnar even helped my fiancé find a photographer to help with our surprise proposal. I can not recommend this guide and Gunnar’s personal help enough! Can’t wait for our next trip back!

Highly recommend. We had a general idea on how we wanted to spend our 9 days in Iceland (1st trip as a couple without the kids) We wanted to mostly camp (campeasy campervan 4x4) and then splurge every 2-3 nights on a nice hotel. We wanted hikes and "off the beaten path" places to explore with some good coffee stops. We were looking for an adventure. Gunnar delivered and so much more. All of his recommendations were stellar. Having him plan out the itinerary was worth every penny! And when we decided to change our plans slightly to spend more time in the Westman islands his map of other recommendations was much more useful than google maps in adjusting what were were going to do and where to stay.

As a geologist, I knew Iceland was one of the most unique places in the world, but I didn’t know exactly how to map out an 11-day trip there. I sought advice from AI, but it lacked the human touch and the cultural immersion that only a local presence can bring. Enter Gunnar. I’d been following Gunnar for years. His photographic perspective of Iceland drew me in immediately. His itinerary was perfect. He tailored each step to my preferences and gave us enough flexibility to navigate variables such as the erratic Iceland weather. Gunnar’s responsiveness during our trip proved critical as we have to shuffle kayaking and glacier tour due to rain. Everything went off perfectly. The icing on the cake was having Gunnar lead a day tour the first day we arrived. It was the perfect microcosm of the entire country, and the weather was a perfect 65 degrees!! I cannot thank Gunnar enough for his recommendations and am in love with his country as a result.

This Itinerary was amazing!! We didn’t have the time to do all the research and plan out our entire camper van trip to Iceland so this was life saving! We went to Iceland stress free and had everything at the palm of our hands! Directions, every stop including grocery stores and places to camp. We had an incredible time and seriously couldn’t have done it without the help of Gunnar! Thank you Alford helping us create wonderful memories in Iceland. Planning a 9-day Ring Road trip for our 10- year anniversary felt overwhelming-until we found Gunnar. From the moment we received our custom itinerary, we knew we were in great hands. The landscapes were jaw-dropping, the history and people unforgettable, and the shoulder season timing meant we avoided the crowds and soaked in Iceland's beauty in peace.
