Selong Belanak Beach in Lombok is an ideal spot for beginner surfers and great sunset spot. The beach is lined with surf shacks where you can easily find instructors to teach you the basics. I took my first surf lesson at Mul's Surf Bar and had an amazing experience learning to ride the waves!

If you’re in the mood to relax, you’ll also find sunbeds and beachfront restaurants, perfect for a day of relaxation. Although the beach is stunning, it’s not the best place for swimming due to the many surfers in the water.

Tip: Be cautious when renting boards, as some surf shacks have been known to run scams by claiming renters damaged their equipment. To avoid this, check reviews before choosing where to rent.
