It’s evident that Jose has combined his passion, experience, and love for nature to share with others. His jovial personality and professional level camera skills make the adventures an unforgettable time! We hiked Vuelta del Cañon and Jurassic Canyon with him. Jose provided educational information about the ecosystem and rainforest along the way, ultimately leading us to magical waterfalls and unworldly views. The added plus in hiking with Jose is his photography and cinematography skills that capture the beauty of us in the rainforest. We encountered several other guides along two days of hikes and on numerous occasions the other guides indicated we were with the best guide; Jose. I would HIGHLY recommend Jose to anyone looking for the personal and professional experience Jose offers. He’s a joy to be around and we will definitely return to join him again in the future.

I studied Tropical Ecology and Tourism, which allows me to understand Costa Rica far beyond the surface. My knowledge isn’t just from books — it comes from years of hands-on experience guiding travelers through rainforests, volcanoes, coastlines, and hidden gems that most big tour operators overlook.

I’ve been working as a tour guide for many years, dedicating my life to exploring and understanding Costa Rica’s ecosystems, wildlife, and culture.
