Te Henga Walkway in New Zealand is an adventurous journey suitable for all ages and fitness levels. It’s part of the Hillary Trail, a series of existing tracks in Waitakere Ranges, making it ideal to explore the wild west coast without being too far from Auckland city centre. This track includes boardwalks that wind up the coastal cliffs with promising views of Huia, Piha and Muriwai. The route takes approximately 3 hours (return) 8 km (Raetahinga Point Return) and is classified as an easy-intermediate walk. Take in the fresh ocean air, stop at the Cowan Track and Beach Reserve for a picnic or a swim, and admire the rugged, wild beauty the region has to offer!
