Established in 1997, this amazing shelter is run almost entirely by volunteers who work tirelessly to rescue animals, provide medical care, and educate the local community on responsible pet ownership. 🌺

Looking for a heartwarming island experience? Join the Waggy Tail Walking Experience!
For a $25 NZD donation, visitors can enjoy a morning stroll with one of the SPCA’s adorable rescue dogs. You’ll explore beautiful local spots like Wigmore’s Waterfall or the nearby beach — while giving a pup some much-needed love and exercise. 🦴🐕

(Locals walk for free, and repeat tourist visitors can walk again for just $15 NZD!)
