A great walk to do if you have some extra time on Waiheke Island! (To your left as you come out of the ferry terminal)

🌊 Best timed a few hours before low tide, as there are some beach crossings (can be muddy after rain).

🏞️ A scenic walk around the peninsula between Matiatia and Owhanake Bay, with stunning views along the way.

⛰️ Expect some big hills, but the views make it all worth it!

👀 Keep an eye out for blue penguins during certain months of the year!

The track is in good condition, so it's a lovely adventure for those ready to explore!

'It's my favorite trail in 2023. It's not too hard at all, but slopes can be challenging. The length is not too long, and you can find a way out to one of the roads. The view is just stunning. Pokutakawa flowers are in the foreground, the bay and yachts are in the midground, and the hills are the background. It's just picture perfect.'
