This pool follows right after the run at Fitjabakkar. Up top and directly opposed Bjarnadalsá River junction, a large rock sits in the middle of the river. A riffle follows, which spreads out into a large run. The best chances are around the stone and down the riffle, but often fish are found a long way down the run. Skarðshamrafljót has been one of the top pools in the upper beats, but changes between years, depending on how the silt from Bjarnadalsá River affects the pool.
