Col De La Puina is a ridgeline located north of Mount Pelmo and surrounding valleys. The closest towns to the trailhead are Pescul and Mareson-Pecol (beautiful ski resorts).
The hike is easy up to Citta di Fiume refugio, it gets steeper and more strenuous after that but the total elevation is only 550metres.The higher you climb the better the views get. At the summit you will be in awe of the towering mountain right in front of you.
🗺️The route:
🚗From Car park: Parcheggio Citta di Fiume
Take trail 467 to Citta Di Fiume Refugio. You will be hiking within the tree line with some brief views into the Fiorentina valley along the way. This part of the trail takes approximately 30mins. Keep an eye out just before the hut for incredible views of Monte Pelmo!
When you reach the Refugio, continue on trail 467 for approx 10mins, until the trail veers off to an unmarked trail. At this point you should be on a wide ridgeline. Please take it easy the last couple of hundred metres to the summit get quite steep. But it’s so worth it. Just follow the same trail back to the Carpark .
🚎By Bus
