Cactus Beach is a well-known surf spot just west of Ceduna, offering raw coastal scenery and long stretches of sand. It’s a detour off the Eyre Highway, but worth considering if you have extra time before or after the main Nullarbor crossing.

The beach itself is quiet, open, and often feels like you’ve got it entirely to yourself — especially outside peak season.

What’s here:
✔ Long, rugged coastline
✔ Popular surf break
✔ Remote bush setting
✔ Campground nearby

Important notes:
✔ Frequently windy — conditions can be strong and exposed
✔ Surf can be powerful (not ideal for casual swimmers)
✔ There is camping available near by
✔ Limited facilities — check current access conditions

Note: I didn't stay in the camp so I can't comment on pricing & facilities. The beach itself was worth the visit though.
