Eldfell is a volcanic cone on the Icelandic island of Heimaey that popped up unexpectedly in 1973, causing chaos for the locals. Today you can hike to the top of the volcano and get a great view of all of the Westman Islands. The hike is relatively short and will take you 20-30min to get to the top.
