Sheringa Beach is an absolute gem along the Eyre Peninsula—wild, rugged, and properly stunning. If you’re camping, there are a couple of options. The main beach campsite is tucked behind the dunes, so it’s a bit more protected from the wind, but it’s super popular, so you might want to book ahead if you’re rolling in peak season. If you’re feeling a bit more adventurous (and the wind isn’t blowing a gale), there are clifftop campsites that offer some insane ocean views—just be ready for a breezy night! I saw heaps of people camping along the coastline & I'm not sure if you have to pay for those ones :)

The beach itself is beautiful, but my top tip is to drive a little further along the cliff, and you’ll spot a small shelter with a staircase leading down to the beach. This little hidden cove is magic for a swim, with the reef keeping it nice and protected from the swell. The surfers head out beyond the reef to chase the bigger waves, but inside the cove, it’s super mellow and perfect for floating around.

Definitely a spot to add to your list if you’re road-tripping the coast! It’s pet-friendly, but just be mindful of the wildlife (lots of seabirds and the occasional roo bouncing around).
