The Fluted Cape Walk on Bruny Island is hands-down one of Tassie’s most jaw-dropping hikes – an absolute highlight! You’re walking through a mix of lush forest, open coastal trails, and then sheer cliffs that drop straight into the ocean. The views are something else – think turquoise water, dramatic cliffs, and maybe even some seals chilling below if you’re lucky.
The full loop is about 4.5 km and takes around 2 hours if you’re cruising, but you might want to take your time because every turn feels like a postcard moment. There’s a bit of a climb involved (it’s not super steep, but it’ll get your heart rate up), so bring some decent walking shoes and maybe a cheeky snack for when you hit the top – the views are worth the effort, trust me.
Tip: the cliffs can get windy, so maybe pack a jacket, even if it seems sunny. And if you’ve got time, swing by Adventure Bay afterward for a swim or an ice cream.
