📡 Tungnaá & Jökuldalákvísl Confluence – Drone Overlook
🗺️ How to Get There:
From Landmannalaugar, drive south on F208. Before reaching the first river crossing over Kirkjufellsós, look for a left turn that leads toward Hóllin mountain shelter. Pass the shelter and continue until you reach the riverbank. Just before the road turns left, it becomes very uneven and broken, only suitable for well-equipped 4x4s. If unsure, park and walk the final stretch to reach the best launch point.
📅 Best Time of the Year to Visit:
Late July to mid-September, when the highland roads are open and dry. Earlier in summer, river levels may be higher and access more difficult.
