Eggum is a community in Norway that has much to offer travelers. It is an ideal spot to catch a glimpse of the midnight sun during the summer season, and with the striking cliffs and views out to the sea it is no wonder why people flock to the area for some rest and relaxation. Eggum is home to the historic “Fort” - the ruins of a radar station used by German forces during World War II - which makes it a special attraction. Those visiting the area can also check out the service building designed and developed by Snøhetta as part of the Norwegian Public Road Administration's E10 tourist route project through Lofoten. The services provided at the building are supplemented by a parking lot, and campervan spaces in two separate areas outside the park grounds. The materials used within the project were chosen to harness the power of the land and bring attention to its unique features. Eggum is surely an experience like no other!
