The Alexander Murray Hiking Trail in King’s Point is a must-do for anyone visiting Central Newfoundland. Named after Sir Alexander Murray, who was the first to map Newfoundland's geological landscape, this trail takes you on a memorable journey through the natural beauty of the area.

Starting off easy through a beautiful forest, the 8km round-trip hike gradually ups the ante as you approach the summit, culminating in a series of 2,200 stairs. Yes, it's a workout, but trust me, the views at the top are more than worth the effort.

Once you reach HayPook, the summit, you’re rewarded with incredible 360-degree views over Green Bay. It’s one of those spots where you can’t help but take a moment (or many) to soak it all in—the expansive views are simply stunning.

Along the hike, you might also pass a few waterfalls. Depending on the weather, they can range from gentle flows to just a trickle, adding a lovely touch to your trek. We took about three hours to complete the hike, including plenty of photo stops at the top.
