Zaké Pizzeria & Wine Bar is a cozy little spot on Ruissalo Island in Turku and it’s right by the water, so the views are absolutely stunning! You can enjoy delicious, wood-fired pizza while looking out over the Baltic Sea and watching boats glide by.

The atmosphere is relaxed and super inviting, making it the perfect place to hang out with friends or enjoy a casual date night. Their menu features a mix of creative toppings and classic favorites, and prices are pretty reasonable for the location.

When I visited, I loved sitting outside with the sea breeze and sunshine, it’s the kind of place where time just slows down for a bit.

LOCAL TIP: Come around sunset if you can, the light over the water is gorgeous and makes it even more magical. It gets busy on warm summer evenings, so try to go earlier or make a reservation if possible.

HOW TO GET THERE: Zaké is located on Ruissalo Island, about 20 minutes by car or bus from Turku city centre. You can take bus 28 from Turku Market Square, which goes directly to the island. There’s also parking nearby if you’re driving.

You can also take the Ruissalo waterbus from the Aura River in the city centre. The ride is a bit longer than the bus, but it’s such a peaceful and scenic way to arrive, especially on a sunny summer day. The waterbus stops at Ruissalon Telakka, right next to Zaké, so you can step off the boat and straight into pizza and wine heaven. It runs several times a day during summer, so check the schedule before you go.
