Aranos is a very small town located in the Hardap Region of central South east Namibia. It is your typical small town, where the local farmers get some of their supplies and meet up for some weekly shenanigans. The place usually receives an annual average rainfall of 188 millimetres (7.4 in). Although in the peak rainy season of 2010/2011 505 millimetres (19.9 in) were recorded. Furthermore, the town has its own high school with up to date facilities for learning.
