Skaftafell nation park offers many beautiful hiking trails. One of them is about 4km/2.5mi long trail you can take to hike above a tongue of Skaftafellsjökull glacier.

The hike starts from the parking lot of visitors centre where you can also get some maps and ask for any details and current trail conditions.
