Cachoeiras do Horto is a hidden gem in Rio de Janeiro. Located just by the side of the road in Tijuca National Park, this waterfall is a great spot to refresh on a hot summer day.

I recommend coming in the early morning because this place tends to get busy during the summer. There is not a lot of space to park around here, so most people just leave their cars by the side of the road while they go on the waterfall.

This entire region of the national park is full of waterfalls so if you follow the signs around here, you will definitely find other spots.
