The walk to the temple is part of the adventure, as you'll ascend through the charming, historic streets of the Higashiyama district for about 10 to 20 minutes to reach the entrance. Once there, you'll be rewarded with the iconic wooden stage, built without a single nail, which provides breathtaking panoramic views of Kyoto.
