Rogers Pass Memorial Park is a roadside pull-out in the Rogers Pass summit area. It is a great place to stop and take some photos of the surrounding mountainous landscape. There are washroom facilities too.

The main focal point is the summit monument that tells the story of the success and tragedies behind the construction of the railway and highway through the pass. An average of 14m of snow falls here every year (less in recent years) and a huge effort is required to keep vehicles moving safely through the pass.

The Selkirk mountains are a sub-range of the Columbias, which are about 70 million years older than the Rockies. True to its name, Glacier National Park protects more than 400 glaciers.
