Geneva is a large sprawling city with a lot of history. So we think it's a good idea to do a guided walking tour to help you see and understand the highlights in an efficient way.

Guided Tours

Free Walk Geneva offers a Heart of Geneva tour that visits the main landmarks in the old town and lakefront, 2-2.5 hours. They offer it most days at 11am, meeting at Tour de l'Ille. It's free, but they like you to sign-up in advance so they know how many people are coming. See calendar. Tips are appreciated.

Geneva Tourism offers several guided tours. The ➡️ Old Town tour is the best for first time visitors. For more of a deep dive, perhaps try the ➡️ International Geneva tour or ➡️ Quartier des Bains tour, which focuses on the contemporary art scene.

Reduced Mobility

If members of your group have limited mobility, here are some activities that minimize the walking.

• Boat tour. Take a 50 min cruise on Lake Geneva near the city. You can download their free app for the audio guide, no WiFi needed. Departs from Mont Blanc ferry stop. ➡️ Book here.

• Guided bus tour. The bus route visits highlights like the UN, flower clock, Jardin Anglais, and Jet d'Eau, some of which are quite far from each other. Your ticket is valid for whole day and you can hop-on/hop-off at each stop. Departs from Geneva Bus Station (Place Dorcière), in front of the Key Tours office. ➡️ Book here.
