Nufenenpass is one of the most exciting and beautiful mountain passes in Switzerland. Located right on the border between the cantons of Valais and Ticino, at over 2400m it offers spectacular views of the Bernese Alps and the Gries Glacier to the south. The road that connects Ulrichen in Valais with the Bedretto valley in Ticino is the highest paved road in Switzerland and it was only opened for motor vehicles in 1969.
