Waterfowl Lakes are some of the most beautiful lakes along the Icefields Parkway, with their brilliant turquoise color and serene mountain backdrop. They’re a perfect place to stop for a picnic, launch a paddle, or enjoy the views.
For those feeling brave, this is our favorite spot for a frigid dip in a glacial lake—the shoreline is easily accessible, making it ideal for testing just how cold the glacial water really is! The lakes have a great campsite along the shore, and it's the starting point for the hike up to Cephren Lake, a fantastic easy/moderate hike good for families with little ones.
