Get ready for a proper Muskoka hike at Hardy Lake, where the rugged beauty of the Canadian Shield is on full display. You have a few options, but the 8-kilometre loop around the lake is the real prize, taking you over rocky shorelines, through deep woods, and across scenic boardwalks. It’s a non-operating park, which means the trails are kept natural and wild, offering a moderate challenge that should take you about two to three hours to complete. The trail starts right from the highway parking lot, so you can get straight into the adventure and experience that iconic, untouched Muskoka landscape.
